Aaron Enye Shi 63aad50098 hipcc defaults to HIP-Clang if built with HIP-Clang 
Add HIP_COMPILER to hipConfig, so that HIP packages built with HIP_COMPILER for HIP-Clang will be known during runtime by hipcc. Also add default locations to check for llvm and device-libs.

Move remaining function definitions from device_util.cpp to hip_runtime.h header. We can now remove the static library completely as device_util.cpp was the last file part of target hip::hip_device .

Yaxun Sam Liu 4627aa0085 Let hipcc use proper include and lib path for HIP/VDI 
Add support of environment variable HIP_VDI_HOME.

By setting environment variable HIP_VDI_HOME to the distribution directory of HIP/VDI, hipcc
will choose proper include and lib path for hip-clang.

Move all __hip_hc_ir_* functions from hip_hc.ll into HIP header as inline asm. Remove hip_hc.ll and build dependencies from HIP.

Alex Voicu 4e0739c68a This introduces LipoProteinLipase (lpl), a simple tool for creating fat binaries. It represents a direct replacement of the creaky hccgenco.sh script, which had various issues. The format it uses is that of a code object bundle, generated by the Clang Offload Bundler. The output is always suffixed with the ".adipose" extension. It is shared with HCC. The hipcc script and associated tests are modified to use lpl. Help can be obtained by invoking lpl --help. A more computer-sciency / corporate friendly name is likely to be beneficial, which is a reason for choosing easily searchable/replaceable names such as lpl or adipose. 2017-12-08 04:22:57 +00:00
