Xianwei Zhang 51bdb2ce02 tests: replace 'bc' with 'awk' to be more portable ...

Calbulator package 'bc' is not always installed, occasionally
breaking the test scripts. As a fix, this patch gets rid of
'bc' and uses 'awk' instead.
