Each counter will be fetched one time to check that the counter can be fetched on the platform and that the counter is returning the correct instance count (however due to the lack of transparency from AQL profiler this check is not functional for some counters). We do not do any implicit reduction on any counter, the result is that we see more counters than the number of events being requested. Below is the status of all counters on MI210.
